Our bodies carry our stories. They hold our experiences, our resilience, and at times the impact of stress, trauma and the demands of daily life. Yoga Therapy and Trauma-Informed Pilates offer gentle, evidence-informed ways of reconnecting with the body, supporting healing through movement, breath and embodied awareness.
My approach moves beyond exercise. Sessions are designed to help you develop a deeper relationship with your body, improve nervous system regulation, build strength and stability, and cultivate greater ease in both body and mind. Every practice is tailored to your individual needs, recognising that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to wellbeing.
Grounded in somatic psychotherapy and trauma-informed principles, I offer practices that prioritise safety, choice and curiosity. Rather than striving for perfect postures or performance, we explore movement as a way of listening to the body, increasing self-awareness and restoring connection.
Yoga Therapy combines movement, breathwork, mindfulness and therapeutic techniques to support physical, emotional and psychological wellbeing. Trauma-Informed Pilates complements this work by developing core strength, balance, posture and body awareness in a way that honours each person's capacity and lived experience. Together, these approaches can help reduce stress, improve emotional regulation, ease chronic tension and pain, and foster a greater sense of vitality and resilience.
These sessions are suitable for people experiencing anxiety, trauma, chronic stress, burnout, persistent pain, life transitions, or anyone wishing to develop a more compassionate and embodied relationship with themselves. No previous experience of yoga or Pilates is required, and all practices are adapted to meet you where you are.
Whether offered as a standalone therapeutic practice or alongside psychotherapy, Yoga Therapy and Trauma-Informed Pilates provide a powerful pathway towards healing, integration and lasting wellbeing.
